January 13th – February 24th, 2019
Drawing from her background in anthropology, Khara Oxier works to integrate concepts of human evolution, development, causation and adaptation. Her abstracted figures draw attention to the fluctuating subjective consciousness which actively involves a deep internal dialogue with external environments. The stylistic dualities create a multivalent viewing experience and Oxier’s mental environments encourage consideration of comfort in change, internal conflict, cyclical thought and the complexities of life.
