Gnorm Backgrounds

Every holiday season we get in the spirit by welcoming our friend Gnorm to the lobby. Not one to shy away from the spotlight, you can often find him taking pictures around the hotel and bar. But his favorite thing is posing for pictures with his friends.

Modern Bar Re-Opens for Business

A bartender at the modern with tattoos on their forearm, gently pushes the Western Dynasty cocktail across the 3form countertop towards the photographer. The craft cocktail is a maroon color with a large clear ice cube and a twist of lemon served in a highball glass. The bar behind is stocked with typical bar tools like shakers, strainers, and other garnishes. On the wall behind the bartender you can see part of the liquor cabinet in the mid-century building in downtown boise idaho historic linen district.

Guests can expect the innovative cocktails and carefully curated wine and beer selection the Modern is known for, but the food on offer will be distinctive and delicious small bites, not full entrees. The Modern will launch a full dinner menu this fall.
