The Modern Bar & Restaurant is offering a four-course, prix fixe menu for the holiday weekend, featuring multiple options for each course, including vegan and gluten-free selections. Bring your amore to dinner only, or indulge in a weekend package that includes dinner, special rates on your room (romantic soak in one of the Modern’s famous tubs, anyone?), and complimentary continental breakfast and champagne.
At the Modern, the season is officially open with a new menu and a new kitchen and bar team—delivering the same, long-standing Modern tradition of hospitality and excellence.
Guests can expect the innovative cocktails and carefully curated wine and beer selection the Modern is known for, but the food on offer will be distinctive and delicious small bites, not full entrees. The Modern will launch a full dinner menu this fall.

The progressive dinner experience, including dance, live music, and film, is structured around the story of five central figures— four rabbits and a hare.
Now in its sixth season, Campfire Stories began on the patio at The Modern and quickly became a sell-out favorite feature of summer in Boise. The event expanded and moved to Txikiteo last year; all 2019 Campfire Stories evenings take place on the patio at Txikiteo, with writers and storytellers from all genres telling tales loosely organized around a theme.
Votes are tallied, and it’s official: for the tenth year in a row, Boise Weekly’s Best of Boise voters have named the Modern Boise’s Best Hotel —and this year a record 300,000 ballots were cast.
Post Modern by artist Rachel Reichert will be unveiled this coming First Thursday, June 6th, the latest in the Modern’s Infinite Scroll series. The work was created specifically for the Boise hotel.
